Hello Friends! Welcome to my new CGA blog!

A few updates:

  • Starting today, this blog will be the only site I will post on, no more World Race blog!
  • If you are subscribed to my World Race blog, you are automatically subscribed to this one as well! Yay technology!!
  • The following words make up my support letter, explaining the heart behind my decision to attend CGA. If you have already read it, great! I will be stringing together new sentences soon. If you haven’t read it, I hope this gives you a more in-depth look into my choice.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!

My Dear Friends,

I hope this letter finds you well and walking in the beautiful life we’ve been given! In the book of Matthew Jesus makes a simple statement. One I think we all over look or feel we aren’t qualified to answer. Matthew 11:28 says: “Come away with me and you’ll recover your life.”
As most of you know, after I graduated High School The Lord asked me to do just that. To go away with Him. He invited me on a journey. He asked me to relinquish what my fists were so tightly wrapped around, and let Him restore my soul. Almost a year later, here I sit. Fully alive. Fully embracing. Fully living. Recovered and restored. Free.
However, there are thousands of women and children today who are not free. Instead they are trapped in ugly cycles of abuse and prostitution. During my time on the World Race, I had the opportunity to do bar ministry in the Red Light District of Bangkok, Thailand. It was there I looked into lifeless brown eyes that were scared and alone. It was there I saw girls no older then twelve lined up against a wall, scantily dress, waiting for a man to call their number. Not their name, their number. Because in that place, they were convinced they didn’t deserve letters strung into a name. I was shaking as I walked through the multistory “adult playground” as it was referred to. I was angry. Confused. Heart broken. As tears filled the corners of my eyes, my sweet Jesus simple whispered “help my children.” It was in that moment I knew I was called to be a part of something much bigger than myself. It was then I knew I was called to walk with these women and children as they themselves come to find freedom and courage in The Father.
I know that the words I have written aren’t pretty or easy to read. It’s filled with the ugly truth that we live in a broken, hurting world. Statistics say that today there are over 25 million men, women, and children stuck in the sex trade industry. That’s hard, heavy, heart breaking information that people don’t talk about. We don’t talk about it because it makes a room uncomfortable, or conversations deep. Yet, I’m here to ask you to partner with me as we walk into the hard, deep conversations and do something about God’s lost children who are hurting, broken, and trapped.
This September I will be moving to Gainesville, GA to attend CGA (Center for Global Action). It is a program run through Adventures in Missions, the same organization I went on the World Race with. Center for Global Action is an eight month program. During my time there I will be taking classes specifically designed to teach and equip me for what it looks like to walk with men, women, and children who are stuck in ugly cycles of abuse. I will be trained in every aspect of the field locally and internationally. This next season for me, this education, is crucial to every season that will follow.
Today I would like to invite you to partner with me as I embark on this next Kingdom Journey. To cover the cost of my tuition I need to raise $8,650. Whether your support be a one time gift, or a monthly donation each is treasured and cherished.

Thank you all for taking my hand and walking with me as we do something big for The Kingdom.
